Grade Target & GPA/CGPA Calculator

The question every student asks before a final — what do I actually need to hit my target? Enter your assessment weights and marks for a quick, honest estimate, or switch tabs to work out a term GPA and combine it into your cumulative CGPA. No account needed.

ℹ️This is an estimate based on what you enter — your institution holds the official record.

Your assessments

Add each assessment with its weight. Leave the mark blank for anything not yet graded — a blank mark or "out of" is treated as not-yet-graded.

Questions

How is "what do I need on my final" calculated?
The calculator takes the weight and mark of every assessment you've entered, works out your running weighted average so far, and then solves for the score needed on the remaining weighted work to reach your target: (target minus what you've already earned) divided by the remaining weight, times 100. It's the same weighted-average math a syllabus grading scheme uses — applied to the numbers you type in.
What does "no longer reachable" mean?
It means that even scoring 100% on everything left would not add up to your target — mathematically it's out of reach. The tool then shows the highest final grade still possible and, where relevant, what you'd need on the rest for a lower grade band instead.
Are the GPA and CGPA cutoffs official?
No — they are the most common default cutoffs published for each scale (GPA 4.0, GPA 7 + WAM, CGPA 10). Every institution can set its own grade boundaries, so treat these as a close estimate and confirm the exact cutoffs with your own college or university.
Is this an official grade or transcript record?
No. It's an estimate calculated from the figures you type in. Your college or university holds the official record of your marks, GPA and CGPA — always confirm your real standing there. Treat this as a quick planning tool, not a decision.
A plain note. This calculator applies standard weighted-average math and common default GPA/CGPA cutoffs to the figures you enter. It does not read your real marks from any institution, it does not guarantee a grade, and it is not an official transcript. Your college or university holds the official record — always confirm your marks, GPA and CGPA there. Read the full disclaimer.
