Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Creating an account starts your access automatically: 30 days of full access, no card required — after that, the core planner stays free forever, and a few deeper features become part of Pro.

What if StudyRise doesn't have my exam?
Pick Custom Exam in the plan wizard. It starts as a blank slate — no pre-built subjects, phases, or task recipes — and you build the plan structure yourself from Settings afterward. Everything else in Exam Mode works the same way.

What happens if I miss a day?
Log it honestly as Missed in the Log modal on Today. Planned rest days are never shaded red — rest is a plan, not a failure — and the coach nudges you back on track without guilt. You can also backdate a task or use Skip Today to recover.

Is my data safe if I reset or start a new plan?
"Start a new plan" in Settings → Exam Setup archives your current plan and reruns the wizard while preserving your study history and analytics. The Danger Zone's Reset & Restart Journey is different: it wipes your study data (your account survives) and requires type-to-confirm.

Which Exam Mode features are part of Pro?
The Analytics screen, the AI Study Advisor, the Go/No-Go card, and the Revision Sprint are part of StudyRise Pro. The core planner — plan, Today, spaced repetition, questions, mocks, History, notifications — stays free.

How are the three readiness numbers different?
The study compliance ring measures today's effort — how much of your plan, reviews, and question target you completed. The Readiness Projection forecasts your pass probability from logged mock scores. The Go/No-Go card, part of StudyRise Pro, gives a plain-English verdict in your final 35 days.

Can I replay the guided tour?
Yes. Open Settings and use the "Take the tour" button (compass icon) in the top-right of the header. It replays the same nine-step walkthrough you saw after onboarding, any time you want a refresher.
